Greenwald Says Vaza Jato is Closer to its Beginning Than to its End

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – In an interview with France 24, journalist Glenn Greenwald, editor of The Intercept, said that in regard to the app conversations between members of the Operation Lava Jato Task Force and former Justice Sérgio Moro, “we are closer to the beginning than to the end of disclosures”.

Greenwald said that through his website or in partnership with other media outlets, he is working on other “many topics” that he believes to be “extremely significant and explosive”.

In addition, he explained why he has adopted the strategy of progressively disclosing information rather than publishing it all at once.

“There is no other way to process this information. The only option would be to publish everything without analyzing it. This is what WikiLeaks has done repeatedly, which is irresponsible.”

“It would, however, be unethical to keep everything. I think that when you have information ready, you should publish it. Furthermore, if you disclose everything at the same time, it is virtually impossible for anyone to digest that much information.”

Therefore, Moro advocates shouldn’t be deluded into thinking that The Intercept is out of
ammunition.
