In the first measurement last month, accumulated inflation stood at 0.52% in the 30 days to date.

Despite the slight drop in price hikes, five of the seven categories that make up the indicator showed higher inflation compared to the previous week:

  • Foodstuffs (0.36% to 0.42%),
  • Transportation (0.21% to 0.41%),
  • Personal Expenses (0.24% to 0.36%),
  • Health (0.15% to 0.23%),
  • and Education (0.32% to 0.35%).

Only Housing (0.61% to 0.29%) and Clothing (1.09% to 1.00%) registered lower inflation by this basis of comparison.

The percentage variations in the reading published today are relative to prices collected between February 8 and March 7, compared to those recorded between January 8 and February 7.

The next release, with the inflation for the second forecast, will take place on the 17th.
