Brazil’s Gol airline expects full corporate demand rebound in Q1 2022

By · June 25, 2021 · 1 min read

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Gol’s board of directors chairman Constantino de Oliveira Junior said that corporate air demand should fully rebound as early as Q1 2022.

The statement is much more optimistic than executives’ perspectives in recent months, which had predicted that the segment would not resume its full capacity.

“I am confident that passenger demand will come back. We are committed. That is why we have allocated more capital to the company,” added the executive, recalling the new contribution made by the controlling family.

The executive also highlighted the windows for improvement in the airline sector in the future, such as contactless boarding, in addition to new opportunities in the cargo sector with the strong growth of e-commerce.

The executives took part in an event with investors promoted by the airline on Thursday afternoon, called “The Future of Flying.” The event marked the celebration of the company’s 17 years of having been listed on the B3 and New York stock exchanges.
