Vamos Latam Summit: meeting of startups, CEOs, and investors in Latin America

On Wednesday 21st, the Vamos Latam Summit will take place, an innovation event that brings together entrepreneurs and some of the prominent leaders of the Latin American startup ecosystem.

Promoted by Latitud, a platform to support entrepreneurship in the region that aims to connect the main innovative ideas of the new generation to investors and strategic agents for the growth of these businesses.

During one day of programming, the event will have panels with founders of small technology companies and investors of renowned startups in Latin America.

Among them are:

• Andres Bilbao, co-founder of Rappi;
• Sergio Furio, founder & CEO at Creditas;
• Dileep Thazhmon, founder & CEO at Jeeves;
• Camilla Junqueira, director at Endeavor;
• André Barrence, head of Google for Startups;
• Mike Krieger, Brazilian and co-founder of Instagram (in the virtual panel).

Among the main funds that confirmed their presence are a16z, NFX, Canary, Kaszek, Monashees, Andreessen Horowitz, and Harlem Capital. The event will take place in person, at Espaço Villa Lobos, in São Paulo.

The program will include talks about the market for fintechs, the current venture capital scenario, and digital transformation in Latin America and will also address the main lessons for CEOs. Those interested in participating can register on the website to buy tickets.

INNOVATION IN LATIN AMERICA

The proposal is to connect these personalities to boost the local entrepreneurship ecosystem, especially in the case of early-stage startups that need to establish their first contacts to grow.

“It is a unique opportunity for early stage startups and entrepreneurs in general interested in building the future of the technology sector in Latin America. We intend to disseminate knowledge, open paths, and thus stimulate all the potential that exists in the region,” says Brian Requarth, co-founder of Latitud.

Founder of Latitud, Requart is a serial entrepreneur. He also founded Viva Real. Gina Gotthilf (ex-Duolingo and ex-Tumblr) and Yuri Danilchenko (ex-Escale) are also involved in the creation of the platform that supports Latin American entrepreneurship and investments in startups in the region. In March of this year, Latitud raised R$50 million.

According to Latitud, the first edition of the Vamos Latam Summit intends to be a showcase for a larger project, the São Paulo Tech Week, a movement to strengthen thinkers and entrepreneurs in the region.
