Brazil’s IPC-S consumer price index rose 0.88% in second week of July – FGV Ibre

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The IPC-S (Weekly Consumer Price Index) for the second week of July, calculated by the Brazilian Institute of Economy - FGV Ibre, rose 0.88% and has accumulated a high of 8.71% in the last 12 months.

All seven state capitals surveyed - Recife, Salvador, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Belo Horizonte, Brasília and Porto Alegre - registered an increase. In the previous week, the index had registered an increase of 0.80%.

The IPC-S measures the sectors of food, housing, clothing, health and personal care, education, reading and recreation, and transportation.
