Brazil’s unvaccinated Bolsonaro tests negative for Covid after New York exposure, presidency source says

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The president had been isolated at the Alvorada Palace since last Wednesday (22) when he returned to the country from a trip to New York to attend the UN General Assembly.

Although unvaccinated President Jair Bolsonaro was surrounded by people with new infections during that trip, he tested negative for Covid-19, a source at the presidential palace told Valor.

Jair Bolsonaro was infected with Covid-19 some time ago and therefore has developed natural immunity. A scientific study from Israel shows innate immunity – that created by infection – superior to the Covid vaccine against the Delta variant.
