Brazil: Congonhas and Guarulhos airports register flight delays and cancellations on the 3rd day of the air transporters’ strike
The airports of Congonhas, in the South Zone of of the city of São Paulo, and Internacional, which is located in the city of Guarulhos (GRU), in the metropolitan region, once again registered delays in takeoffs this (21st) due to the air transporters’ strike.
This is the 3rd straight day of stoppages. The category claims wage readjustment, in addition to better working conditions.
Air transporters are paralyzing activities daily for two hours, from 6 am to 8 am.

Because of today’s strike, Congonhas registered 9 delays and 12 cancellations of flights that were supposed to depart from the airport, between 6 am and 8 am this Wednesday.
Since Monday (19), the shutdown occurs daily from 6am to 8am. On the 1st day, 50 flights in Congonhas airport were delayed.
According to GRU Airport, this Wednesday, 4 flights were delayed due to the stoppage. No flights were canceled during the period.
The stoppages have also occurred at the airports of Campinas, Rio de Janeiro, Porto Alegre, Belo Horizonte, Brasília and Fortaleza.
