RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Total Bolivian exports for March 2022 registered a 31% increase, reaching US$3.1 billion, exceeding by US$725 million the figure recorded in 2021.

The above established a trade balance with a surplus of US$468 million, an amount higher than that recorded in the same period of 2021, when it reached US$353 million, Bolivia’s National Statistics Institute (INE) reported.

In its Foreign Trade report -corresponding to April- the institution pointed out that “it is worth highlighting the continued recovery of the trade balance, showing in the first three months of the year the highest value after seven years”.

In the case of imports during the same period of analysis, there was an increase of 31%, reaching US$2.6 billion, higher by US$610 million than that recorded in 2021.
