Argentina is upgrading militarily in Antarctica, the South Atlantic and Patagonia

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – A new naval base to provide logistical support to ships, the deployment of uniformed personnel, the development of a new radarization plan and the opening of new air routes with state aircraft.

All this is part of the new plan to strengthen the military presence in the South Atlantic that Defense Minister Jorge Taiana has imposed on the armed forces as of today.

As qualified sources from the Ministry of Defense told El Cronista, the government is counting on reinforcing Argentine defense throughout the South Atlantic and Antarctica through the presence of the three armed forces.

This is a strategy of Minister Taiana to improve the protection of natural resources and achieve a stronger Argentine presence in Patagonia.

In a ceremony to be held first in Santa Cruz and later in Tierra del Fuego, the Defense Minister will announce today the new plan to strengthen the armed forces in Patagonia, Antarctica and the South Atlantic.
