Censorship pope Alexandre de Moraes orders reactivation of social networks of four members of Bolsonaro’s PL party
On Thursday (Dec. 8), the president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) and Minister of the Supreme Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes, ordered the social networks to reactivate the accounts of federal deputies.
The reactivation comes just as arbitrarily as the blocking went about.
Moraes’ decision releases the profiles of federal deputies Major Vitor Hugo (PL-GO) and Colonel Tadeu (PL-SP) and deputies-elect Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) and Gustavo Gayer (PL-GO).
They are accused of spreading fake news about the electronic ballot boxes.
The profiles were taken off the air in November after sharing a video of an Argentine journalist about the ballot boxes and the possibility of electoral fraud.
In his decision, Alexandre de Moraes maintained the exclusion of this material and set a fine of R$ 20,000 (US$3,800) if the four returned to disseminate “disinformation” about the electoral process and “attacks on democracy.
“In the event of repeated dissemination of the contents indicated or publication of other messages that are contrary to the Electoral Justice and the Democratic State of Law, the fine may even be deducted directly from the salaries that the Federal Deputies and elected representatives receive or will receive from the Chamber of Deputies, using a letter from this Court to the President of the Legislative House,” wrote the president of the TSE in his decision.
