Uruguay: “Tourists from all over the world will be able to enter with any vaccine”
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – “We are assessing the amount of vaccines available and to be delivered before the end of the year in order to analyze the feasibility of offering the third dose,” the Uruguayan Deputy Minister said.
Monzeglio explained that “the aim would be to ensure that the elderly visiting Uruguay should have the same opportunities as residents.”

The Deputy Minister welcomed the news of the reopening of borders from November 1 and provided details regarding the requirements to enter the country.
“People can enter with any type of vaccine for more than 14 days and with a PCR test taken up to 72 hours, which must be repeated on the 7th day of entry into Uruguay,” he said, and added that “a certified statement must also be filled out.”
He also said that “the situation for youths aged 12 to 18 is being studied, although he said that “they will be able to enter in any case; and the possibility of vaccinating them in Uruguay is being evaluated.”
