Tuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tonight at Lapa Irish Pub, it’s time again for the Portuguese/English language exchange.
Set up like speed dating, native English speakers will be paired with native Portuguese speaker at tables. The pairs will then speak English for five minutes followed by Portuguese for five minutes. After those ten minutes, each speaker will move on to a new table and conversation partner.
It’s both a fun and educational night and the R$10 entrance cost includes free food. Following the Language Exchange there is usually live music.

It’s time for the best of alternative rock as the bands The Highjack and The Outs perform live tonight at Botafogo’s Casa da Matriz as part of the weekly Matriz Live Session.

Beginning at 4PM, the chic Gávea venue 00 (Zero Zero) will present the Safavela
party, the first of two parties the venue will host today and tonight. DJs Day Barbieri, Tata Thomazini, and Susu Carollo will spin.

Bem Brasil – The Rio Hostels Party (Gávea)
The Bem Brasil party will follow then the Safavela party at 00 tonight beginning at 11PM. This weekly party features free caipirinhas until midnight and DJs Bruno Lima and Ricardo Martins spinning the best of Latin rhythms, reggaeton, cumbia, kuduro and hip-hop. Additionally, the group Bom Batuque will perform live samba. This party is a great opportunity to mix and mingle in one of the chicest venues in Rio.

Feel Leblon (Leblon)
The weekly Feel Leblon party is back at Sette Leblon bar and lounge tonight. Promotions include all you can drink caipirinhas until midnight and two for one beers all night long. DJs will keep the party going until 4AM as they spin the best of pop, house, reggaeton, hip-hop and more.

Tuesday nights are all about blues at Ipanema’s Barzin. The venue, with its sophisticated atmosphere, great service and variety of drinks, is the perfect place to enjoy some great live blues.

Shenanigan’s Live Music (Ipanema) With live music and classic pub games like darts and pool, Ipanema’s Shenanigan’s is always a great spot to visit. Happy Hour is dose dupla (two for one) on Mondays through Fridays 6PM-8PM. Additionally, tacos are half-price on Tuesdays. This is another great place to watch live streaming sports.
