Covid-19: Brazil’s land borders with Argentina and Uruguay will reopen December 11

On the occasion, the ministers were asked to authorize as soon as possible the reopening of Brazil’s borders, especially with Argentina and Uruguay.

Secretary Santini classifies the measure as a victory for tourism. “The reopening will increase the flow of tourists in the Rio Grande do Sul state and, consequently, boost the economy in the entire tourism chain,” he says.

Antunes highlights the effects of the decision. “The reopening of the land borders will bring, besides reciprocity between Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay, the reheating of shopping and local tourism in the border cities of Rio Grande do Sul,” he said.
