Startups invest to bring Metaverse players to Brazil
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The Metaverse is on the rise, and Brazilian startups offering products and services under the Web3 name are investing in bringing immersive platforms to Brazil.
Druid Creative Gaming, a Spacecaps Holding agency specializing in games and Web3, is launching a partnership with Zepeto, a platform for avatars and other features.
Developed in South Korea and published by Naver Z, Zepeto has been used to create virtual experiences within immersive platforms.
“We want to create virtual worlds for influencers and personalities and get entertainment, fashion, media, music, and lifestyle brands, among others, to create digital experiences for their businesses, as we have done globally with Samsung, Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Disney, Black Pink, and Selena Gomez,” said Jay Lee USA, CEO of Naver Z.
Naver Z estimates that Zepeto has over 20 million monthly users, 700,000 in Brazil alone and 300 million worldwide. “Brazil has emerged as an important market for games and initiatives in Metaverserse. We look forward to expanding the Zepeto ecosystem in the region,” said Claudio Lima, CEO of Druid.
THE SANDBOX AND BAYZ
A few weeks ago, BAYZ, publisher of Web3 games, announced a partnership with The Sandbox, an immersive platform, to expand its presence in Brazil. The collaboration will allow The Sandbox to tap into Brazilian brands, entertainment, and intellectual property for Metaverserse, such as music, fashion, lifestyle, culture, architecture, sports, celebrities, TV, and media.
With Sandbox, BAYZ aims to connect its gaming ecosystem with the dynamics of Metaverserse
Sebastien Borget, COO and co-founder of The Sandbox, explains, “Brazil has a rich and vibrant entertainment culture that we want to bring to Sandbox to reach more South and Latin America users.
We’ve managed to incorporate individual cultures as a global platform. We’re excited to have BAYZ as a strong local partner to help us incorporate Brazil’s culture and diversity into Metaverserse.”
Sandbox will provide a full-time team at BAYZ to grow the community in Brazil, bring local partners into the game, and create experiences for the inclusion of new Brazilian players in Metaverserse.
BAYZ was founded in 2021 and has already partnered with games such as MetaSoccer, Thetan Arena, and Genopets. To help build the community and involve players from all parts of the world, BAYZ has appointed content creators Nobru and Cerol as ambassadors of the organization.
