Tuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Tonight Bem Brasil will present the The Rio Hostels Party at Miroir, one of Rio’s most exclusive nightclub overlooking the Lagoa in Ipanema.
During the night, DJ JR Mahr will spin the best of hip hop and DJ Haron Dufau will spin the best of house, hip hop, funk, reggaeaton, and cumbia. Additionally, the band Pretensão will perform the best of samba live.
Make sure to get there early as caipirinahas at free until 12AM.

Matriz Live Sessions with Infinito circular and Garam (Botafogo)
Spotlighting up-and-coming rock bands and musicians while adding some life to typically less than lively Tuesday nights in Rio, the ‘Matriz Live Sessions,’ event is back at Casa da Matriz in Botafogo tonight with the bands Infinito circular and Garam performing live.

Bem Brasil – The Rio Hostels Party (Ipanema)
The Bem Brasil party will take place at Miroir in Ipanema tonight. It will include live samba from the band Pretensão and DJs JR Mahr and Haron Dufau spinning the best of hip hop, Latin rhythms, reggaeton, cumbia, and kuduro throughout the night. Additionally, promotions will include free caipirinhas from 11PM until midnight.

Késia Estácio (Lapa)
Tonight singer Késia Estácio returns to perform live at Carioca da Gema in Lapa. Estácio cites influences including Elis Regina, Djavan, and Chico Buarque, among others, and tonight she will perform the best of MPB, samba, soul and pop. During the show she will be accompanied by bassist Rodrigo Villa, guitarist Gabriel de Aquino, percussionist Thiago da Serrinha, and drummer André Manhães.

Folakemi Quintet (Lapa)
On Tuesdays in December, the Leviano Bar will host the Folakemi Quintet. Folakemi is a British singer known for her covers of Nina Simone and Amy Winehouse, among others. During this season of shows, she will once again perform the best of jazz, nu jazz, blues, funk, and soul with the quintet. Additionally on Tuesday nights this month, DJ Sandro Black will spin the best of Fela Kuti, Miles Davis, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Billie Holiday, and Amy Winehouse among others.

Família Moadir and Jorginho do Imperio (Centro)
Jorginho do Imperio will return to start the night at Rio Scenarium tonight at 7:30PM with the best of samba and carnival sambas enredos. The group Família Moadir will follow at 11PM with their reinterpretations of works by Cartola, Nelson Cavaquinho, Roberto Ribeiro, Paulinho da Viola, and Martinho da Vila, among others.

Pub Crawl Ipanema (Ipanema)
Every Tuesday night Bem Brasil Entretenimento is presenting the Pub Crawl Ipanema, a tour of Rio Nightlife. Beginning at Belmonte Bar in Ipanema (Rua Teixeira de Melo, 53) at 7:20 PM, the tour includes stops at three bars and ends at the club, Miroir club in Ipanema, which will host the Bem Brasil -The Rio Hostels Party tonight.

Language Exchange – Lapa Irish Pub (Lapa)
Tonight at Lapa Irish Pub, it’s time again for the Portuguese/English Language Exchange. Set up like speed dating, native English speakers will be paired with native Portuguese speaker at tables. The pairs will then speak English for five minutes followed by Portuguese for five minutes. After those ten minutes, each speaker will move on to a new table and conversation partner. It’s both a fun and educational night and the R$10 entrance cost includes free food. Following the Language Exchange, Helo Tenorio & Convida Trio will perform live .
