Friday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – La Paz in Centro will host the final edition of the year of the popular DOOM party tonight.

During the event DJs Neguim Beats of the Darker Than Wax parties, Mestre Xim, Bertoletti, Bevilaqua, KingFoxxx, and Mr Brentar will spin. Additionally, DJ Fxrnok will spin back-to-back with Arth.exe during the night.

For those who attended the Plant Hemp show at Fundição Progresso (see below), entry to the Doom party will be only R$20.

Tonight and tomorrow night Brazilian rap/rock group Planet Hemp will perform live at Fundição Progresso.

Tonight the BLESS and Trap In party will take over Arco de Teles in Centro. Influenced by samba greats including Cartola, Noel Rosa, Geraldo Pereira, and Nelson Cavaquinho, the group Cartola de Noel will start the night at Rio Scenarium tonight at 8PM. Singer Fátima Gaspar will follow at 11PM with more of the best of samba plus her reinterpretations of the works of Chico Buarque and Tom Jobim, among others. Then beginning at 2:30AM, the group Xique-xique will perform the best of forró live until sunrise on Saturday morning.

Lapafest (Lapa)
It’s time again for Lapafest at Leviano bar tonight. Singer Lucas de Moraes will start off the night by performing his reinterpretations of works by Zeca Pagodinho, Jorge Aragão, and Clara Nunes, among others. The bloco Picada de Primeira will then perform the best of samba, MPB, soul, and samba reggae. On the second floor during the night, the power trio Johnny’s will perform the best of international pop rock. Additionally, during the night DJs Chicote and Ailton Areas will spin the best of samba, sambalançco, funk, hip hop and electronic during show intervals.
