“The team confirmed the death of the passenger and called the Civil Police Death Verification Service, which came to the airport to carry out the procedures,” explains the note echoed by the media outlet.

The plane of the Brazilian airline Azul left Porto Alegre, in Rio Grande do Sul, bound for Recife, capital of the state of Pernambuco, but was forced to change its route when the passenger began to feel unwell.

According to the company, the passenger received first aid but did not resist. The airline did not report the cause of death or the identity of the deceased.
