Paraguay forecasts inflation of 8% by the end of 2022

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Representatives of Paraguay’s main economic sectors forecast that inflation will close this year at 8% and in 2023 at 5%, the Paraguayan Central Bank disclosed today.

According to the Survey of Expectations of Economic Variables published this Monday, for the current month, the inflation forecast is 0.6%, higher than the figure registered in the same period last year (0.1%) and higher than that of the previous month (0.5%).

Meanwhile, the document indicated that next June, the agents foresee monthly inflation of 0.5%.

Regarding economic growth expectations, respondents expect a gross domestic product of 0.2% for 2022 and 4% in 2023.
