Paraguay aims for an international tourism award

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Paraguay, a land of opportunities for its natural riches such as the land itself, its waters, fauna, and flora, is an attraction that is more than valued, so it is on its way to achieving the title of “Best Leading Nature Destination” in South America.

The World Travel Awards (WTA) 2022, the global event that recognizes and rewards excellence in travel and tourism, has already opened the voting for the Latin American categories of its 2022 program.

The National Secretariat of Tourism (Senatur) urges to vote for Paraguay, which for the first time, aspires to this global recognition, also known as the “Oscars of Tourism.”

It explains that Paraguay qualifies for the nomination because of its preserved natural areas, which attract more and more national and foreign visitors captivated by its scenic beauty and biodiversity. To vote, please visit this website.

COMPETITION

WTA founder Graham Cooke noted, “With the travel and tourism economies of South and Central America enjoying a long-overdue resurgence, the competition to be number one is healthier than ever.”

He noted that with voting now open to choose the organizations raising the bar for excellence in travel, he expects to meet the winners at the Caribbean and the Americas 2022 gala ceremony, to be held at Sandals Montego Bay, Jamaica, on August 31.

This year’s nominees cover a broad spectrum of categories ranging from aviation, car rentals, cruises, attractions, hotels and resorts, meetings and events, travel agencies and tour operators, and destinations, including the “Best Leading Nature Destination” in South America, for which Paraguay is bidding.

Travel industry professionals, the media, and consumers from around the world are invited to vote for the travel brands they consider the best in the world or, in the case of Paraguay, the destination.
