He also minimized the statements of US Republican legislators who seek to declare the cartels as terrorists or attack them in Mexican territory and stressed that he will in no way accept such offensive proposals, assuring that transnational criminal groups in Mexico receive resources from the United States.

“According to the State Department’s most recent annual terrorism report, there is no evidence of terrorist groups in Mexico.”
