Italian TV Says, Barcelona is Going to Make Neymar’s Hiring Official Soon

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Neymar will be a player for Barcelona. For the Italian channel “Sky Sport”, the soap opera came to an end this Thursday with the deal between the Catalan club, Paris Saint-Germain and the Brazilian striker.

Through journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the channel published on social media that the contract signing would happen within the next few hours, allowing Neymar to go back to wearing the jersey from Barcelona, where he played from 2013 to 2017.

There still aren’t details available regarding financial aspects, nor about any other players involved in the negotiation. For certain Barcelona wished to involve Dembélé and Rakitic to knock down the amount asked for by PSG, but the French national particularly resisted leaving Barcelona.

Meeting in Monaco

The managers of the main European clubs are united in Monaco this Thursday, where a lottery will be held for the group phase of the Champions League, as well as for the ceremony awarding the best from last season. The president of Barcelona, Josep María Bartomeu, is one of those in attendance.

The Spanish press has guaranteed that Bartomeu took advantage of the occasion to meet with Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the owner of Paris Saint-Germain, in one last bid for Neymar.

On Wednesday, French radio station “RMC Sport” published that PSG rejected the most recent offer from the Catalan club. However, the terms evolved in the early morning hours and, according to “Sky Sport”, everything has finally been settled.
