Friday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Bootleg returns to Fosfobox for another edition, today celebrating the birthdays of three of Rio’s favorite local DJs, Leo Janeiro, Nepal and Pedro Piu. This eclectic party has played host to an assortment of musical acts from The Twelves, Anhanguera, Renato Ratier and more.
Tonight’s edition will showcase some local favorites serving up house and tech house downstairs and funk and breaks upstairs. The lineup for the evening includes Marcelo Abreu, Bed & Breakfast (Joao Paulo & Marcio Careca), Andre Marques, Who Else? (Leo Janeiro & Nepal), as well as upstairs funksters Pedro Piu and Mike Frugaletti.

The Groov (Lapa)
The Groov has prepared a special edition dedicated to the magic of swing, funk and afrobeat The night will include bands Abayomy Afrobeat Orchestra and Andre Sampaio & The Afromandinga, plus DJ sets from Ambassodors, and vocal participations from singers Larissa Luz & Luana Karoo. Art show will be curated by Homegrown.

Samba do Chapéu (Lapa)
O Samba do Chapéu was born in Rio de Janeiro in March, 2009. They are a reference in the samba culture in Praia Grande in Arraial do Cabo. They perform classic “rodas do samba,” driving the culture forward!
