Eve Air Mobility and Revo Set to Launch Electric Flying Cars in São Paulo by 2027

Eve Air Mobility, a subsidiary of Embraer, has secured a $250 million contract with Revo, a Brazilian urban air mobility operator, to supply up to 50 electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

The deal includes full operational and maintenance support through Eve’s TechCare package. Revo will become the first operator of Eve’s eVTOLs, with deliveries starting in the fourth quarter of 2027.

This marks a significant step for Eve, moving from development to commercial deployment in one of the world’s busiest urban airspaces.São Paulo, where Revo operates, already hosts over 400 registered helicopters and nearly 2,000 daily takeoffs and landings.

Revo currently offers helicopter flights connecting key locations, such as the trip from Zona Sul to Guarulhos International Airport, which takes 1.5 to 3 hours by car but only 10 minutes by air.

The introduction of fully electric eVTOLs will replace fossil-fuel helicopters, reducing emissions and noise pollution while maintaining fast travel times.

The contract reflects growing market confidence in Eve’s technology and operational model. It also expands a strategic partnership between Eve, Revo, and Revo’s parent company, Omni Helicopters International (OHI).

Eve and Revo Partnership Drives eVTOL Innovation

The companies have previously collaborated on urban air traffic management simulations and service solutions. Eve’s TechCare support will help Revo manage fleet operations efficiently, aiming to deliver a safe and scalable urban air mobility service.

The global eVTOL market is expanding rapidly, projected to grow from $14.36 billion in 2025 to $34.2 billion by 2029, driven by urbanization, traffic congestion, and environmental concerns.

Eve’s order book stands at approximately $14 billion, with 2,800 eVTOL units ordered worldwide. The São Paulo project exemplifies how eVTOLs can integrate into existing transport networks, offering a sustainable alternative to ground traffic and traditional helicopters.

This deal highlights a practical move toward cleaner, faster urban transport. It demonstrates how established aerospace expertise and innovative electric aircraft can reshape city mobility.

The timeline to 2027 allows Eve to finalize certification and production, but the firm commitment signals serious commercial intent and readiness to lead in this emerging market.
