SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – It is no news that São Paulo is among the top capitals for a world-class cuisine experience. Like everything else in the city, the culinary scene here is enormous, capable of pleasing all tastes and fitting into all budgets possible.

The wide range of bars, bistros, restaurants, cafés, and food trucks can, however, be overwhelmingly confusing, especially when it comes to picking THE right place. The pain of choosing a spot gets even harder when time is short, and all you have is a two-night stay in São Paulo, where thousands of highly promising restaurants await you.

While it still isn’t possible to predict the perfect restaurant that suits your mood and taste, there are some amazing Instagram accounts that will help you cope with this frustration.

A page run by food-loving women and another exclusively dedicated to burgers are among the ones we have selected. Make sure to follow all of them and get the best experience out of São Paulo’s mouth-watering food universe.

PR and Content Creator Marcelo Volpato runs “Find & Eat” (@findandeat), formerly a blog and now also an Instagram account with over 80,000 followers. “Find here what to eat there” is the motto of Volpato’s food page, which, every week, shares recommendations on every type of food — from artisanal pizzas to vegan pies.

One of the highlights at Find & Eat, Lolla Meets Fire is a must-check in the neighborhood of Itaim Bibi. Meat and seafood on the fire are their genuine specialties. (Photo internet reproduction)

Among the most recommended places on Find & Eat’s account — probably Volpato’s very faves — are Lolla Meets Fire, a contemporary restaurant for grilled meat and seafood, in Itaim Bibi; the classic pizzeria Bráz, in Pinheiros; Farrabud, specialized in Arab food and located in Vila Nova Conceição; and Asian-Peruvian restaurant Imakay São Paulo, in Itaim Bibi.

Another account worth-following on Instagram is “Fica, Vai Ter Janta!” — which can be translated as “Stay, we are making dinner!”. “Fica, Vai Ter Janta!” is not only an influent Instagram account (62,000 followers) with pretty sexy food pictures but also an excellent blog (http://ficavaiterjanta.com.br/) with several feature articles on São Paulo’s most fabulous restaurants.

Some of the hottest tips on “Fica, Vai ter Janta!” are the Lamen-expert Hira Ramen Izakaya, in Vila Madalena; the “coxinhas” at Beco São Paulo, in Tatuapé; the contemporary Jamile Restaurante, run by TV show master chef’s judge Henrique Fogaça, in Bela Vista; and the Peruvian AMA.ZO, in Campos Elísios.

For “Fica, vai ter janta!” creators, the coxinha from Beco São Paulo, in Tatuapé, is the best in the city. (Photo Instagram reproduction)

At “Top Restaurantes São Paulo”, nothing less than 2.156 publications recommend the hottest from São Paulo’s top-notch places to some 60,700 followers. The eating out tips for breakfast are among the highlights on this account, whose suggestions also include sophisticated Italian trattorias and Japanese restaurants.

Padoca do Maní, in Jardim Paulistano; Café Dalva e Tito, in Jardins; and Dengosa Pães e Doces, in Cerqueira César, are some of the various bakeries recommended by this page. They also suggest Restaurante Parigi and Bottega Bernaca Uno for experiencing São Paulo’s Italian cuisine.

Created by Gabi and Bella, two women passionate about everything lying in between travel and food, “Boas de Garfo” is a must-check Instagram for foodies passing by São Paulo.

With more than 117,000 followers and over 4,000 publications, “Boas de Garfo” stands out for its Instagram stories, which divide the food tips into very specific categories — such as pet-friendly places, brunch places, and a variety of travel destinations.

Recommended by “Boas de Garfo”, an Instagram account run by two food-loving women, the chocolate pie from Padaria Artesanal Orgânica, in Pinheiros, looks simply irresistible. (Photo Instagram reproduction)

The hottest food recommendations at “Boas de Garfo” include the chocolate cake from Padaria Artesanal Organica, in Pinheiros; the pão de queijo from Pão de Queijo Haddock Lobo, in Jardins; and the Arab food by Kalili Restaurante.

If trying out a succulent, homemade burger sounds like the best idea, the “Guia do Hambúrguer” page is absolutely the best Instagram guide for burger lovers in São Paulo. The account belongs to the namesake website, which provides information on recipes, festivals, food contests, courses, and also the best places to indulge in tasty burgers.

“Guia do Hambúrguer” not only recommends the best burger houses in São Paulo but in neighbor cities as well, such as Osasco and São Caetano do Sul. Their Instagram stories also have plenty of information on drinks, finger food, and dishes from other restaurants that are worth trying out.

Some mouth-watering options recommended by this account are: Burger Match, in Santana; Firewood Burger, in Jardim das Laranjeiras; Lanchonete da Cidade, in Pinheiros; and Black Trunk, in Vila Madalena.
