The number of confirmed cases since the start of the pandemic has reached 1,884,967. The Ministry of Health’s system counted 20,286 new cases since Sunday’s balance.

According to the Ministry’s bulletin, 657,297 people are being followed up and 1,154,837 have recovered from the disease. There are still 4,011 deaths under investigation to determine if they were caused by Covid-19.

There was a one percent increase in both the number of deaths and the number of confirmed cases of the disease compared to Sunday’s data. However, over the past week, the number of deaths increased by 11.2 percent and the number of confirmed cases by 16.1 percent.

On Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays, the daily recorded figure tends to be lower due to the difficulty in feeding the municipal and state secretariats’ databases. On Tuesdays, the number of cases is typically higher due to the updating of the accumulated cases on weekends.

The lethality rate (number of deaths by the total of cases) stood at 3.9 percent. The mortality rate (number of deaths per 100 thousand inhabitants) reached 34.7. The incidence of Covid-19 cases per 100,000 inhabitants stands at 897.
