Brazilian Stock Exchange ends the trading session with a 2% high
The main index of the São Paulo Stock Exchange (B3), Ibovespa, ended the trading session on Wednesday, Mar. 8, up 2%, at 106 thousand points.
The announcement of creating a working group to analyze the Student Financing Fund (Fies), drawn up by the Minister of Education, Camilo Santana, was one of the reasons for the rise.
With this movement, companies such as YDUQS and Cogna Educação went up 12% and 8%, respectively, driven by the expectation of changes in Fies.

Another positive scenario was the possibility of anticipating the new fiscal framework, which should be presented before the meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee on Mar 21.
The nomination of Efrain Pereira da Cruz, former director of the National Electric Energy Agency, to replace Carlos Eduardo Turchetto Santos on the Board of Directors of Petrobras positively affected the company’s shares, which rose more than 1%.
