Brazil: leftists set fire to Central Bank’s president Campos Neto dummy – video

Leftist militants set fire to a dummy of the Central Bank president, Roberto Campos Neto, during a protest at Paulista Avenue.

The act occurred on Tuesday morning, 21, and was attended by social movements and trade unions.

The group claims that the basic interest rate, at 13.75% a year, hinders economic development and job creation.

The activists say that only the financial sector benefits from this measure.

During the demonstration, the leftists barbecued sardines.

The animal would metaphorize the poorest, who the (wealthy) sharks would devour.
