Increased flow of migrants from Brazil and Venezuela to northern Mexico

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Some arrive with the purpose of heading to other nearby borders and others with the goal of settling in the municipality receiving them.

On November 11, 150 people of Brazilian and Venezuelan origin arrived at the Juventud 2000 shelter in the Tijuana's Zona Norte neighborhood, and left within two hours.

According to the center's leader and founder José María García, the directors of the National System for the Comprehensive Development of Families (DIF) of the State of Baja California called him and asked him to use his facilities as a reference point . . .
