Rio de Janeiro Temperature Reaches 41.4ºC – Hottest Day This Year

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - This Tuesday, November 5th, was a record in the "weather" category in Rio de Janeiro.

According to information from the National Institute of Meteorology (INMET), the thermometers marked 41.4ºC (106ºF), in Vila Militar, North Zone, and in Niterói, in the Metropolitan Region.

The previous highest recorded temperature was 41.2 ºC, on January 3rd.

INMET also reports that there is the possibility of rainfall and wind gusts of 50 to 80km/h from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday night, November 6th, in several locations in the state, mainly in the regions of M . . .
