After 3 months and 5 lost titles, Flamengo fires Vítor Pereira

Flamengo has hit the hammer and decided to fire Portuguese coach Vítor Pereira.

The announcement should be made officially by the club later today (10) and after a series of conversations between the board of Gávea.

The information is from O Globo.

Vítor Pereira should no longer command the training scheduled for this Tuesday at Ninho do Urubu, according to the newspaper.

Flamengo’s management is only waiting for the procedures involving communication with the Portuguese and his representatives.

They will enter the paperwork in HR to dismiss the coach and his coaching staff.

Flamengo will pay the termination fine of R$15 million (US$3 million) for Vítor Pereira.

The Portuguese coach leaves Flamengo after a job of 3 months.

He competed for five titles in the period and lost all of them.

Vítor Pereira arrived in early January to replace Dorival Júnior after leaving Corinthians, alleging his mother-in-law had health issues.
