RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - Uruguay is going through its second wave of Coronavirus with an exponential increase of cases in the last hours. This Wednesday, 5,330 new infections were confirmed, the highest number since the beginning of the pandemic on March 13, 2020.
Deaths have remained stable, as the Omicron variant is very contagious, but the course of the disease is usually mild to very mild.
