Brazilian VP Mourão contests Moraes’ “anti-democratic demonstrations” thesis

By social networks, the vice president of the Republic and senator-elect, General Hamilton Mourão, contested the thesis of "anti-democratic demonstrations" unilaterally imposed by the Justice of the Supreme Court (STF), Alexandre de Moraes.

"The clamor of the demonstrations we have seen since the proclamation of the result of the ballot boxes, which remained without the printed and auditable ballot, is legitimate, however many have tried to classify it as 'antidemocratic,'" Mourão said via Twitter on Wednesday (Dec. 14).
