Low-cost airline Viva announces new flight connection between Colombia and Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - The new service will connect the cities of Medellín (Antoquia) and São Paulo.

Announced by the low-cost airline Viva, the new route is expected to result in a 55% reduction in airfares, known as the Viva effect. It is expected to carry 50,000 passengers in its first year of operation.

The launch is part of a plan to add 30 new routes in the coming years, in which Viva will seek to consolidate Medellín as a HUB of air connections in the country with world-class routes.
