Brazil posts record solar energy generation in February

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Brazil ended the month of February with the highest amount of solar energy generation in history. More than 1,200 MWh (megawatt-hours) were generated, twice as much as in the same period last year.

Currently, of the total power generation capacity in Brazil (including all sources), solar energy accounts for only 2.5%.
