Babilônia Feira Hype Winter Clearance: Daily

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – The popular monthly Rio fair known as Babilônia Feira Hype returns today, Saturday, August 2nd and tomorrow, Sunday August 3rd, to Leblon’s Clube Monte Líbano with a special Winter Clearance and Father’s Day edition.

Well known for showcasing the best new fashion, design, art, gastronomy and music the city has to offer, this edition of the Babilônia Feira Hype will also feature a special edition of the Vinyl Fair with exhibitors; Baratos da Ribeiro, Satisfaction Discos, Tropicália Discos, Supernut MaraRecords and Sempre Música, selling vinyl records, turntables, t-shirts and accessories.

Additionally, two DJs from the Vinil é Arte collective will spin vinyl records live during the fair. DJ Tuta Discotecario will take to the decks from 6PM to 7PM tonight and DJ Marcello MBgroove will spin from 6PM to 7PM on Sunday.

The Winter Clearance portion of the fair offers discounts of up to seventy percent on selected items, which include; jewelry from brands Highlow and Orion Bijouterias, children’s clothes from the brand Bichins Camiseteria; and adult fashions from the brands Galaxxy, Maria Chris, Tricky Hips, and Manah Rio, among others.

Since Sunday is Father’s Day, the fair is also celebrating Dads and men’s fashion during this edition. Vendors including Tricky Hips, H., and Cabron, among others, are on showcase with suggestions and clothes to help keep Dads stylish throughout the year.

The Babilônia Feira Hype was founded in 1996 by actor, filmmaker and Carioca (Rio resident) Robert Guimarães and São Paulo native Fernando Molinari with the goal of offering Rio residents and visitors to the city something fun to do on weekends with each edition providing new opportunities to see and purchase different kinds of fashion and items not readily available elsewhere in the city.

For this edition of the fair, up-and-coming designs and fashion include; shoes from the brand Baille, and jewelry from brands Ateliê Culte, Highlow, and Rosa Terra Colares.

For the gastronomy segment of the fair, the vendors; Avelã Brigaderia, Namasté Indian Food and V Culinária will be on hand to ensure attendees have the energy to shop from 2PM to 10PM both today and tomorrow.
