Why we show this: prediction markets turn real-money bets into a live probability that moves within minutes of the news, which is why investors, campaigns and newsrooms in the United States now follow them closely. We show them next to polls and official results, never instead of them.

U2 play São Paulo on Wednesday 10 and Friday 12 March 2027 at the MorumBIS stadium, their first Brazilian shows since 2017. Tickets go on general sale on Thursday 22 October 2026, with prices from about US$68.

U2 will play two nights at the Estádio MorumBIS in São Paulo, on Wednesday 10 March and Friday 12 March 2027, as part of The Greatest Show On Earth World Tour. The band’s own tour page lists São Paulo between two nights in Mexico City in February and two nights in Buenos Aires in late March.

For US readers the practical points are a visa, a Brazilian ticket sale and a stadium in the city’s south zone. General sale opens on Thursday 22 October 2026 at 10 a.m. Brasília time, and fan-club presales start three days earlier.

Two Nights at the MorumBIS in March 2027

U2 list two São Paulo dates on their tour page, Wednesday 10 March and Friday 12 March 2027, both at Estádio MorumBIS. The Latin American run opens with two shows at the Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City on 23 and 26 February.

Buenos Aires closes the run with two nights at the Estadio River Plate on 23 and 25 March. Those six dates are the only ones the tour page lists at the time of writing, on 17 October 2026.

DGABC and NC News both describe this as the band’s first Brazilian visit since 2017, when U2 played four shows in São Paulo. The tour page itself does not mention that history, so it rests on those two Brazilian outlets.

How the Ticket Sales Work

Sales run through Ticketmaster Brazil, with a fan-club presale first. Subscribers to U2.com in the Feedback group can buy from Monday 19 October at 10 a.m., and The Hype group follows on Tuesday 20 October.

Eligible Santander cardholders get their own presale on Wednesday 21 October, online at 10 a.m. and at box offices from 11 a.m., with no service fee at that stage. Gazeta SP and Omelete report the fee waiver, and NC News names Santander Brasil as the local presenter.

General sale opens on Thursday 22 October at 10 a.m. Brasília time online and at 11 a.m. at official box offices. That is 9 a.m. on the US East Coast, where clocks stay on daylight saving time until Sunday 1 November.

Each buyer may take up to four tickets per Brazilian taxpayer number, known as the CPF, and no more than two of them at half price. Santander cardholders can pay in up to six interest-free instalments, and other cards in up to four.

What the Tickets Cost in Dollars

The announced prices run from R$345 (about US$68) for a half-price bleachers ticket to R$3,000 (about US$590) for the RED Zone package. Conversions here use the central bank’s rate of R$5.08 per US dollar on Friday 16 October 2026.

Full-price bleachers (arquibancada) cost R$690 (about US$136), and the standing floor (pista) costs R$790 (about US$156). Half-price tickets for the same two sectors are R$345 (about US$68) and R$395 (about US$78).

Upper seats (cadeira superior) cost R$1,320 (about US$260) at full price, and lower seats (cadeira inferior) cost R$1,390 (about US$274). Lower seats at half price are R$695 (about US$137).

Premium floor sectors A and B cost R$1,550 (about US$305) at full price and R$775 (about US$153) at half price. The Gold Circle costs R$1,750 (about US$344) at full price and R$875 (about US$172) at half price.

The RED Zone package costs R$3,000 (about US$590) at full price and R$2,255 (about US$444) at half price, and CNN Brasil and DGABC both list the two figures. Part of that revenue supports RED, the anti-AIDS organisation co-founded by Bono, and online purchases carry a service fee while official box offices do not.

The MorumBIS Stadium and How to Reach It

Estádio MorumBIS, officially the Estádio Cícero Pompeu de Toledo, is the home ground of the football club São Paulo FC. NC News gives its address as Praça Roberto Gomes Pedrosa 1, in the Morumbi district of the city’s south zone.

B News São Paulo named São Paulo-Morumbi on Line 4-Yellow as the closest metro station to the stadium in May 2026. Riders from Luz, República or Consolação take the line toward Vila Sônia, and shuttle and walking arrangements for these dates have not been published.

Pista tickets are standing places on the pitch, as the photo above shows from an Oasis night in November 2025. The cadeira sectors are seats in the stands around it.

What It Means for US Visitors

US citizens need a Brazilian visa before travelling, and the State Department page checked on 17 October 2026 says to apply and be approved before departure. That page lists August 2025 as its last update, so confirm the current rules with the Brazilian foreign ministry before booking flights.

The same page rates Brazil at Level 2, exercise increased caution, because of crime and kidnapping, in an advisory dated 29 May 2025. It marks favelas and areas within 160 km (100 miles) of most land borders as Level 4, do not travel.

Tickets are priced in reais, so a US card is charged at the exchange rate of the day, and the R$5.08 per dollar used here may move before March. Check your card’s foreign-transaction fees before the sale opens on 22 October.

Two nights give visitors a choice between a Wednesday and a Friday show. The Wednesday date falls in the working week, while the Friday date opens the weekend and may suit longer trips.

What Is Not Known

Gazeta SP, Omelete and NC News all name Beck as the opening act, yet U2’s tour page lists no support act. Treat Beck as likely rather than confirmed until the organiser says so.

DGABC and NC News give gates at 4 p.m. and a 9 p.m. start, and Omelete also gives 9 p.m. for both nights. The tour page publishes no times, so these remain press figures.

The sources do not say how foreign visitors without a CPF can buy, or whether half-price tickets are open to foreign students and other visitors. Ticketmaster’s own listing could not be opened from our systems, so the sector prices come from Brazilian outlets that agree with each other.

CNN Brasil and NC News differ slightly on the half-price upper-seat ticket, so we leave that figure out. No setlist, stage layout or capacity for the two nights has been published, and it is unclear whether more São Paulo dates will follow if both sell out.
