Tuesday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Ya ‘Ya High-Fi reigns down yet again as Tuesday nights are vinyl nights with DJ Marcelinho da Lua on the turntables with swing, jazz, bossa nova, soul, caribeñas, rare groove and more. Ya ‘Ya High-Fi has moved venues and found a new pair of decks to call home at the Lapa based Barzinho.

DJ Marcelinho’s vinyl collection has grown and been carefully pieced together from travels around the globe and acquired through record stores, bookstores, sidewalks, friendships and professional trades. He told The Rio Times, “I decided to make this party in order to share my collection that has been built over the last twenty years. It’s a tribute to the guys who ‘dig’ for music, because searching for vinyl is a devotion, a bible with faithful disciples.”
