LIVE:
Tributo a Noel Rosa @ Teatro Ipanema (Ipanema) – This evening promises to take the audience on a magical musical journey through the life and masterworks of one of the greatest Brazilian composers, Noël de Medeiros Rosa.
Known as “O Poeta da Vila” (The Poet of the Villa) the artist became famous for combining the samba of the poorer folk with that of the bourgeoisie. Come and take part in this trip with singer Karlo Muniz, with guests including Watusi, Miramar Mangabbeira, Claudia Sampaio, Gabriel Issa and a super band, under the command of musician and arranger Sergio Silva.
This evening is also part of the fiftieth anniversary celebrations of the Teatro Ipanema. Tickets are between R$30-R$60 and the night gets going at 9PM.

Latin Party @ Pub Kriok (Lapa) – The original party that brought reggaeton to Rio is always ready to bring the disorder.
The night is free and has an open bar of beer and caipirinha until midnight. What more could a party need? How about some drinking games, random shots, and dance-offs? DJ Slim, DJ Allan Braz, DJ Muchacho Malo, plus VJ Rafael C are going to be taking over two floors of Pub Kriok and pumping out some of the finest reggaeton, funk and pop all through the night.
On the first floor will be reggaeton, latin pop, world music, hiphop, pop and much more. On the second floor will be merengue, trance, salsa, funk and a whole lot more Miami-style rhythms. After midnight there is a two-for-one offer on caipirinha and catuaba. There will be great photographers capturing the magic, LED light shows, excellent air-conditioning over three floors. This is a night that will go on for a long time (eight years running so far).
The night starts at 11PM and entry is R$20 all night.

JAZZ no Beco @ Bar do Nanam (Centro) – Every Wednesday is Jazz night next to Tiradentes square in central Rio. Featuring drummer Guga Pellicciotti with several guest musicians every night, this is the only open-air Jazz in Rio that continues until dawn!
The bar opens at 8PM, with DJs starting at 9PM, then the live jazz starts at 11PM until around 3AM when the DJs are invited back to continue the party until dawn!
As always, this event is free; however Bar do Nanam do ask that people patronise the nearby bars who are the main supporters of this night and contribute to the musicians hat if you can!

Blue Agave (Ipanema)
Blue Agave in Ipanema is a great place for Mexican food, strong drinks and watching the FIFA 2018 World Cup action. They have English-speaking staff and is a popular expat hangout in Ipanema. Be sure to check out Blue Agave in Copacabana also for a great night out.

Flashback (Ipanema)
Flashback is a high-end restaurant with plenty of classical music and photos decorating the walls. Tonight, between 7PM and 9PM the restaurant will serve a happy hour with two for one on caipivodkas and Stella Artois. The caipivodkas are made fresh with either lime, strawberry or passionfruit as well as additional herbs added in for a taste explosion.
