Noites de Parangolé @ Pavilhão Teatro de Anônimo (Lapa) – Spend a night at the cabaret with Noites de Parangolé, a unique show-party-cabaret combination that has entertained cariocas since 2008.
Mixing circus, humor, popular theater, projections, and live music, you’ll be wowed as the cast make each performance a one-of-a-kind happening, an unprecedented and live performance, while also offering reflections and provocations in an irreverent and humorous way.
The performance starts at 8:30 PM and tickets are R$20.

Série Viva Ópera @ Sala Cecília Meireles (Lapa) – Join the Associação de Canto Coral for a magical night of Italian opera.
Hear the group present works by Gioachino Rossini, Gaetano Donizetti, and Giuseppe Verdi, some of the country’s most renowned composers.
Tickets are between R$10 – R$5 and the music begins at 8 PM.

Baile Charme @ Samba Independente dos Bons Costumes (Lapa) – Every Thursday, head to Fundição Progresso for one of the best live samba nights in the city, Samba Independente dos Bons Costumes.
In-between the live samba, you can also enjoy the sounds of DJ Goranmo from Baile do Ademar.
Tickets are between R$10-R$15 and the night begins at 9:30 PM.

Mississippi Delta Blues Bar (Gamboa)
As the name suggests, this is the place to go in Rio for live American-style blues music. Coupled with a Soul Food-inspired menu (their mac’n’cheese is excellent), plenty of bourbons, crafts beers, and a pool table, this place makes for an atmospheric hangout, whether there’s a band playing (and there usually is) or just the jukebox.

Symposium Bistro (Laranjeiras)
Run by Uruguayan expat José Hodara, the bistro offers the best national and international labels, which can be accompanied by a selection of cheeses, sausages or a main dish, like the majestic Uruguayan chorizo beef.
