On eve of 2nd round, Lula’s lead fluctuates between 0.8 and 8 points

The latest polls show that the gap between Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT, left) and Jair Bolsonaro (PL, right) fluctuates between 0.8 and 8 percentage points a day before the second round of voting.

The election will be held on Sunday (Oct. 30).

Paraná Pesquisas determined the smallest lead in a poll conducted Oct. 26-28. In the survey, the politician appears with 50.4% of valid votes compared to 49.6% for the current head of government.

The result of valid votes includes only the intentions assigned to a candidate, not blank and invalid votes. The TSE (Superior Electoral Court) will publish the results.

The most significant difference was found by Ipec (ex-Ibope). According to the poll conducted from Oct. 22 to 24, Lula came to 54% of valid votes, while Bolsonaro came to 46%.

PowerData’s poll, conducted Oct. 23-25, shows the former president leading the presidential succession contest with 53 percent of valid votes.

Bolsonaro has 47 percent. These figures were also found in the last surveys conducted by Atlas, Ipespe, and Quaest.

PowerData has the highest frequency in the current election cycle. It has been conducted every 15 days since 2021. In 2022, since the end of August, it has been offered weekly.
