Monday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – R4 Life presents reggae and dub on Monday nights at Leviano with special guests Banda Afroreggae. This night has become increasingly popular, being one of the first and best parties to drive the genres of reggae and dub, especially in the heart of the samba-dominated Lapa.

Reggae is a music genre first developed in Jamaica in the late 1960s. While sometimes used in a broader sense to refer to most types of Jamaican music, the term reggae more properly denotes a particular music style that originated following on the development of ska and rocksteady. Local and out-of-town bands, MCs and DJs promote one of the most globally loved genres in music today.
