La Oreja de Van Gogh Mexico dates are set for June and July 2027, with four shows in three cities. The Spanish pop band plays Monterrey, Guadalajara and two nights in Mexico City, OCESA’s listing shows.

The tour reunites the band with Amaia Montero, the voice of its biggest early hits. A bank presale opened on Tuesday 13 October, and general sale starts on Thursday 15 October.

Who La Oreja de Van Gogh Are and Why This Tour Matters

La Oreja de Van Gogh, or Van Gogh’s Ear, formed in 1996 in San Sebastián, in Spain’s Basque Country. The name comes from the famous story of the painter Vincent van Gogh, the band says.

The first line-up had Amaia Montero singing, Pablo Benegas on guitar, Xabi San Martín on keyboards, Álvaro Fuentes on bass and Haritz Garde on drums. Their first album, Dile al sol, came out in 1998.

Songs such as La playa, 20 de enero and Rosas became anthems of Spanish-language pop, the band says. Guapa, from 2006, was the last album of that first era with Montero singing.

Montero then left for a solo career, and Leire Martínez took over as singer from 2008. In October 2025 the band announced Montero’s return and a tour called Tantas cosas que contar, or So Many Things to Tell.

The band says the tour covers Spain in 2026 and then other countries. It mixes the old hits with new songs such as Todos estamos bailando la misma canción.

La Oreja de Van Gogh also says Rosas has passed one billion plays on Spotify, the music streaming service. That puts the song in Spotify’s Billion Club, its list of tracks with more than a billion plays.

The Mexico dates follow a Bogotá show already set for 2027. Both belong to the international leg the band promised when it announced the tour.

Dates, Venues and Ticket Sales

OCESA, the promoter, lists four La Oreja de Van Gogh Mexico shows, all marked as newly announced. The tour opens at Arena Monterrey on Sunday 27 June 2027.

The band then plays Arena VFG in the Guadalajara area on Friday 2 July. It closes with two nights at the Palacio de los Deportes in Mexico City, on Thursday 8 and Friday 9 July.

La Oreja de Van Gogh will play four shows in 13 days in Mexico. The two Mexico City nights fall on a Thursday and a Friday, which suits a long weekend trip.

OCESA’s listing names a presale called Gran Venta HSBC, after the bank, on 13 and 14 October. General sale opens on Thursday 15 October.

Chilango and Crónica, two Mexican outlets, say HSBC Premier cards went first at 11 a.m. on 13 October. Other HSBC cards follow at 9 a.m. on 14 October, and general sale starts at 11 a.m. on 15 October.

Mexico City time is two hours behind US Eastern time in October, so 11 a.m. there is 1 p.m. ET. Monterrey and Guadalajara keep the same time as Mexico City.

OCESA’s page links buyers for Guadalajara and Mexico City to Ticketmaster México. For Monterrey, Arena Monterrey’s own listing sends buyers to Superboletos, the ticket seller of the arena’s business group.

Arena Monterrey lists its presale from noon local time on 13 October. Tickets from resale sites or social media carry a real risk of fakes and are best avoided.

Neither OCESA nor Arena Monterrey shows ticket prices on its listing yet. Buyers paying with a US card should expect prices in Mexican pesos and a possible foreign transaction fee from their bank.

The Venues and How to Get There

The Palacio de los Deportes is an indoor arena in the Granjas México area of Iztacalco, in eastern Mexico City. Known for its copper-clad dome, it is one of the city’s main concert halls and an OCESA venue.

The venue names Velódromo as its nearest Metro station and Goma as its nearest Metrobús stop. Its box offices sit at gates 1 and 7, and on-site parking is limited.

Arena Monterrey stands on Avenida Francisco I. Madero in central Monterrey, the capital of Nuevo León, a state that borders Texas. For fans in Texas, it is the closest of the three shows.

Arena VFG stands in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, on the southern edge of the Guadalajara metro area. Its full name honours Vicente Fernández Gómez, the late ranchera singer.

At all three arenas, ride-hailing apps or official taxis are the simplest way home after a late show. Allow extra time, as traffic around big concerts in Mexican cities is heavy.

Tips for US and Foreign Visitors

US citizens need a passport book to fly to Mexico, according to the State Department. All travellers must also get an FMM, Mexico’s entry permit, online or at a National Migration Institute office.

The State Department’s Mexico advisory, issued on 29 May 2026, puts the country at Level 2, exercise increased caution. Mexico City and Nuevo León, home to Monterrey, are also at Level 2.

Jalisco, the state around Guadalajara, is at Level 3, which means reconsider travel, due to terrorism, crime and kidnapping. Visitors to the Guadalajara show should check the advisory again shortly before travel.

Mexico City sits about 2,240 metres (about 7,350 feet) above sea level, so drink water and take it easy on the first day. July is the rainy season in central Mexico, so a light jacket helps after evening shows.

La Oreja de Van Gogh sings in Spanish. Knowing a few of the big songs, such as Rosas or La playa, makes the night more fun.

What Is Not Confirmed Yet

Ticket prices, seating maps and per-person limits have not been published on OCESA’s or Arena Monterrey’s listings. Doors and start times are also not out yet.

Arena Monterrey has not posted its own general-sale time for the 27 June show. OCESA lists 15 October as general-sale day for all four dates.

Opening acts have not been named, and OCESA has not said whether more dates could be added. The band’s own tour page lists the four Mexico shows but no set list.
