Federal revenue in trillions, with values corrected for inflation, according to the Federal Revenue Service:

  • 2012 – 1.903
  • 2013 – 1.981
  • 2014 – 1.945
  • 2015 – 1.836
  • 2016 – 1.781
  • 2017 – 1.792
  • 2018 – 1.877
  • 2019 – 1.908
  • 2020 – 1.776
  • 2021 – 2.085
  • 2022 – 2.256

In the document released this Tuesday, the Revenue cited the main factors that, together, contributed to this result:

  • performance of the main macroeconomic indicators that influence tax collection, such as industrial production, sales of services, wage bill and dollar value of imports.
  • performance of IRPJ/CSLL collection, in particular, the annual adjustment and the monthly estimate;
  • growth in social security collection due to the increase in wages and the increases observed in the collection of Simples Nacional;
  • growth in IRPF Capital collection, especially in items related to bonds and fixed income funds.
  • temporary reduction of Import Tax rates;
  • tax exemptions on fuels and on industrialized products with an impact, respectively, on PIS/Cofins, CIDE on fuels and IPI collections.
