Friday’s Rio Nightlife Pick – Expatriates and Carioca friends will be kicking May off with the next Gringo Group Therapy Happy Hour event, held at the Gringo Café in Ipanema. This month’s Happy Hour will be co-sponsored by the Democrats Abroad Group. Also expect two for one drinks from 7PM till 9PM.

Cabeca Dinossauro (Lapa)
Launched in 1986, Cabeca Dinossauro was a milestone in the history of the Titans of Brazilian rock. Mainly influenced by punk rock, and with a touch of reggae and funk, they identified with thousands of fans at a time when Brazil was finally ready to bury the demons of dictatorship. Many of their tunes have become anthems of rebellion and indignation of a whole generation.

Another edition of the festival Laparadiso is going down at Fundacao Progresso. This time, Fundacao welcomes renowned rocker Frejat, former lead singer of the Red Baron, and Pop singer Preta Gil.
