Tonight they kick off the Carnival season right at the epic venue Fundição Progresso in Lapa.

Baile pré-carnavalesco da Orquestra Imperial (Lapa)
Orquestra Imperial are back at Circo Voador with their remarkable show to heat up the stage and Lapa for Carnival. This year, the traditional costume ball will feature cameos from singer Emanuelle Araujo and DJ Samba (Stephen Ciavatta).

Carnaval do Monobloco (Lapa)
Monobloco sets the stage for their annual Carnival do Monobloco. The over hundred person percussion band is known all throughout Brazil and their shows are not to be missed.

Bootleg (Copacabana)
Bootleg returns to Fosfobox for the kick off party of the Rio Music Conference. The Bootleg residents welcome Curitiba based DJ and producer Fabo, as well as New Yorker Holosound.

Nuth (Barra da Tijuca)
The biggest thing to hit the streets of Barra & Lagoa. Two locations with the same game plan to make sure the night never ends for those who attend. A mixture of house, hip hop, and pop, this nightclub is sure to light up the night.

Moyseis Marques (Lapa)
Singer and songwriter Moyseis Marques returns to Carioca da Gema to perform his special brand of samba with hits like “Pretinha Jóia Rara”, which was featured on the soap opera “Caminho das Índias”, from Rede Globo.

Samba do Carlinhos de Jesus (Lapa)
Samba is in the air in Rio, and no better time than now. Kick off Carnival right with the best of Brazilian samba at one of the most well known samba venues in Lapa.

Guacamole (Jardim Botanico)
Rio welcomes Guacamole with open arms. This festive Mexican restaurant represents Mexico with a beautiful decor and a mariachi band who sings table-side, along with an array of tequila and drink specials.

Mud Bug (Copacabana)
