By · January 18, 2022 · 1 min read

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL – Bolsonaro and the presidents of Suriname, Chandrikapersad Santokhi, and Guyana, Irfaan Ali, will hold a working lunch in Suriname’s capital Paramaribo on Thursday to discuss “projects of common interest,” according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

“The presidential trip occurs in the context of strengthening bilateral relations, in a scenario of resumption of strategic dialogue between the governments and prospects for greater economic and social development in Suriname and Guyana, driven by recent oil and gas discoveries,” the statement added.
