Brazilian General compares radicalized patriots to “Rambo”

By · December 30, 2022 · 2 min read

Brazilian General Paulo Chagas held positions in the government already in the paid reserve, in the Task for a Right Time  (TTC) modality, but was exonerated in 2014, during the Dilma government.

Since then, the officer has become politicized and increasingly known as one of the many voices in favor of conservatism in the country.

The Brazilian General said conservatives are inspired by the figure of the legendary Rambo, played by Sylvester Stallone

For disagreeing with some of Jair Bolsonaro’s attitudes, he ended up being stigmatized and execrated on social media by the president’s supporters, becoming rejected and avoided by many right-wing names who were former allies.

Critical of calls for military intervention, the official – despite supporting the demonstrations – issued a warning this Monday on his social networks, saying that there is panic among conservatives and that this has given rise to a pathetic figure, people who with “inflamed speeches” and occasionally even taking up arms, they are inspired by the figure of the legendary Rambo, played by Sylvester Stallone.
