Brazil: police say Blumenau daycare killer suffered psychotic break and has criminal record

The 25-year-old man who killed children after breaking into a daycare center in Blumenau (Santa Catarina) on Thursday morning (5) suffered a psychotic break and has a criminal record.

The local police gave the information.

According to the Civil Police, the children Luiz Henrique de Lima killed were between 4 and 7 years old.

After committing the crime, the killer presented himself to the Military Police (PM) battalion and was arrested.

As a teenager, the man stabbed his stepfather.

At the time, Luiz Henrique de Lima was not apprehended.

The Civil Police did not inform the year of the attack or his age.

At the time, he answered for an infraction analogous to attempted murder for being an adolescent.

In the past, Luiz Henrique de Lima was indicted for drug possession, bodily injury, and damage.
