Chile is thus the third country in Latin America to receive crypto services from MercadoPago, the payment app from MercadoLibre.
The new feature will immediately allow the purchase, sale, and custody of the market's two leading cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
Chileans can buy cryptocurrencies on the online payment platform starting at CLP$50, with their funds in their accounts within the app.
