Colombian arrested in Brazil on extradition request from Spain

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL - In a joint operation by the Federal and Highway Police, the Colombian was arrested in the city of Miranda, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, bordering Paraguay and Bolivia.

"According to the Spanish authorities, the prisoner is suspected of international drug trafficking and had been a fugitive for over 10 years," the Federal Police reported in a statement in which it did not identify the alleged drug trafficker.

However, Brazilian media reported that the man is Humberto Flórez Morales.
